Lamar vs. Burrow Showdown: Bet Big on Ravens in AFC North Battle—Tushman’s Week 5 Special

Lamar Jackson & Derrick Henry are about to run all over the Bengals in the AFC North Divisional Matchup (Week-5)
Written By: Patrick Tushman

Alright, Ravens Nation, let’s talk. We’ve been on a roll, nailing our Ravens picks every week since Week 2, and this Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals is another chance to keep that streak alive. This isn’t just any game—it’s a statement game. The kind where Baltimore reminds the League why we’re a Force. Whether its Ray Lewis leading our defense to a Super Bowl win or Justin Tucker sealing victories with clutch field goals, the Ravens Don’t Half Ass Anything. And this week? It’s no different.

Lamar Jackson Is Playing for the DHAA Candidate of the Year.

I’ve watched Lamar Jackson since his very first snap, and right now, he’s not just playing like an MVP—he’s playing like a DHAA candidate. This guy is built for our the DHAA mantra. He simply doesn’t half-ass anything. He’s making defenders look like they’re stuck in slow motion, and every throw feels like an absolute dagger. Honestly, this feels like Lamar’s 2019 MVP season all over again. The Bengals? They’re about to experience that same energy.

We all remember the 2021 game where Joe Burrow dropped over 500 yards on us.. or maybe you have tried to forget. Either way, if you think that hurt us, don’t worry. I guarantee it just dumped jet fuel on Lamar’s fire. This week, it’s all about redemption. Burrow’s going to regret that 2021 performance ever happened after Lamar clocks-in on Sunday.

Burrow’s Woes Play Right Into Our Hands

Let’s talk about Joe Burrow. He’s an elite quarterback when he’s healthy, but right now, that calf injuryis holding him back. As Ravens fans, we know what happens when opposing quarterbacks aren’t at 100%—they don’t stand a chance. Burrow’s lack of mobility will make this a long afternoon for him. Historically, the Ravens capitalize on weaknesses like this, the same way DHAA capitalizes on those flimsy and weak, paper plates

On the other side of the ball, Trey Hendrickson might be a force on the Bengals’ defense, but Ronnie Stanley is playing like a true Pro Bowl tackle again. I’m confident Stanley will keep Lamar upright and give Lamar the time he needs to process the right plays. Buckle up, because this game is going to be decided in the trenches.

Derrick Henry—Another Strong DHAA Candidate of the Year

Now let’s talk about Derrick Henry. Henry has been an absolute beast for us this season, putting up monster numbers week after week. In just four games, he’s already racked up 480 rushing yards and five touchdowns. At this pace, he’s on track to finish the season with 2,040 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns. which is insane production; Production that doesn’t just win games—it wins championships. And like Lamar, Henry is another clear DHAA candidate for 2024.

Last week against the Bills, Henry opened the game with an 87-yard touchdown run—the seventh time in his career he’s had a rushing touchdown of over 70 yards. He’s been wearing down defenses all season, especially in the second half. When everyone else is tired, Henry’s just getting started, bulldozing through defenders and breaking off big runs late in games. “Not every bet loses, but most do. I’m just not sure how this one does…” take Henry to rush for over 100 yards and find the end zone at least once, but I could also see him scoring twice, this Sunday just to prove the point that he’s the one and only candidate for the DHAA Award this year. Cincinnati won’t have any answers for him.

Tushman’s Bet

I’m putting my money on the Ravens to win by at least a touchdown but please don’t tail me on this. I’m too fired up, and I may come to regret it by Sunday night since this matchup has all the makings of our Week 5 win in 2022, when JustinTucker sealed the game with another one of his clutch field goals. But this time, I expect the Ravens to dominate from start to finish. The spread is currently -2.5, and I’m telling you—double down on the Ravens. The experts are giving us a 57% chance to win, but with Lamar and Henry both playing like they are, that feels like a steal.

If you’re looking for smart bets, here’s my advice: don’t sleep on Derrick Henry. He’s been our closer all season. I’m betting on Henry to hit the over on rushing yards and to score at least two touchdowns. He’s proven time and again that he’s the key to finishing games.

Why This Game Matters for Ravens History

This game has the feel of one of those classic Ravens moments we’ll be talking about for years. Whether it’s our AFC North battles with the Steelers or that unforgettable Mile High Miracle against the Broncos, Baltimore has always shown up when it matters. Sunday’s matchup will be another one of those iconic moments. Years from now, we’ll look back and say, “This is when Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry took the Ravens to the next level.”

Bet Big on the Ravens

Here’s the deal: the spread might be -2.5, but I’m going bigger. I’m betting on Lamar to hit the over on rushing yards, and I’m putting money on Derrick Henry to bulldoze his way to at least two touchdowns. I’m all in on the Ravens to win outright. This team feels different this year, and I don’t half-ass my bets—just like Lamar and Henry don’t half-ass their performances. Ravens Nation, this is our time. Let’s back our team, go all in, and watch Burrow crumble under the pressure.

Final Thoughts

Ravens fans, we’ve been through the highs and lows, but this team feels special. This feels like one of those games that will define the rest of the season. Bet big, back Lamar and Derrick, and watch as Baltimore shows the NFL why we’re one of the best teams in the league.
